A Silverthorne homeowner returned to his vacation home after some time away in Texas. To his surprise the toilet supply line on the 3rd level had failed and flooded the entire unit for some time. As the water continued to flow, microbial growth was rapid and extensive. Materials that were not damaged by water did have heavy secondary damage. High levels and multiple species of mold were detected on the building materials and all contents. KRS removed and treated all salvageable contents with care. All materials in the home were disposed of and the structure was treated multiple times for mold and odor. An air clearance test was preformed upon completion to ensure indoor air quality is safe and healthy.
